What are Mustard Pickles?

Senfgurken is German for Mustard Pickles, a variety of pickles coming originally from northern Germany. Kruegermann is the only pickling company in the US, and one of few in the world to follow the traditional way of making mustard pickles. A special cucumber variety is used. The cucumbers are allowed to grow fully ripe to two feet in length and four inches in diameter. Each cucumber is hand-peeled, cut in half, and deseeded. The cucumbers are packed in a mild sweet and sour brine along with Kruegermann's own blend of spices, onion, and herbs. This specialty is very labor intensive and can only be made in limited quantities.

Why should I eat Mustard Pickles?

The taste of mustard pickles is very different from all other pickles. Mustard pickles are quite spicy, yet not burning-hot, and have a distinct flavor of their own.
